Inserting citations while writing
In the editor, type /cite and press Enter. A search panel opens where you can find any reference in your project library by title, author, or keyword.
Select a reference and Academe inserts a properly formatted in-text citation at your cursor. The format follows whichever style is active for the project.
You can also ask the assistant to suggest citations. When it references a paper in your corpus, it can insert the citation directly into your draft.
Citation styles
Academe supports all the major styles and a long tail of journal-specific ones:
Switch between styles at any time from your project settings. All citations and the bibliography update automatically.
Bibliography generation
Academe generates your bibliography automatically from the citations in your document, updating in real time as you add or remove references. On export, the bibliography is included and formatted to your selected style.
Citation detection
Paste text that contains references, for example from a draft written elsewhere, and Academe detects citations and matches them to papers in your library or in the open-access literature.
