Comments & Threads

Highlight a sentence, drop a comment. Replies stack in a thread that lives alongside the text, so feedback stays attached to the exact line it’s about.

How to leave a comment

Select the text you want to comment on and choose Comment from the toolbar. A thread opens in the right panel and stays anchored to your highlighted text. Move the paragraph, and the comment moves with it.

Comment anywhere in a note: the whole document, a heading, a paragraph, or a single sentence.

Threaded replies

Anyone with access can reply. Replies stay inside the thread so the original comment doesn’t clutter the sidebar. Mark a thread Resolved when the conversation is done; it tucks away but stays recoverable.

Notes for yourself

Comments aren’t only for other people. Many writers use them as private margin notes: “come back to this”, “find a better citation”, “weak argument, fix before Friday”. They don’t clutter the draft, and you can sweep through all of them from the Comments panel.

Advisors & collaborators

Share a note with your advisor, study group, or co-author. They leave comments without editing your draft, and you resolve each one as you address it.

It’s the Google-Docs-style feedback loop, in a workspace that also understands your sources and citations.
